read the word..short...film and it is very short indeed. a friend introduce the film to me (cuz he is a bigger movie buff and he knows all the great shows to watch!) so i am here sharing it with all of u! its a very funny film if u listen carefully to the said. =)
its a 3 part clip total to abt 30 mins. so like i said its very SHORT! watch part 1 and it should lead u to part 2 and 3 if not search for it on Utube. the part 2 and 3 is the funny bit with singing and dancing.
enjoy... =)
been to the bookstore recently for a few times in fact, and kept seeing this book "p.s.- i love you". the plot was rather interesting but the book is thick! i honestly prefer Mr Seuss picture book to anything else! haha.. =P on second look, the novel had been made into a movie! yippeee... instead of spending days reading the book (and blaming why the hell i can't fast-forward the reading), i rather spend 2hrs at max to watch the movie!
yippeee... i watched the movie today! believe it or not, i watched it with my co-worker rather than my hubby on 14th Feb! haha... how unromantic sia....
(i am not sure if this song "seduces me" by celine dion is in the official soundtrack or not. )
i strongly recommend this movie! its another of those sweet loving movie but with a great mix of laughter and emotion. the part that had me crying was the part where the mother and daughter finally bonded. gosh! i can't believe it!! it took Holly almost 1 entire yr to realise and come to term with her 'lost'. and finally!!! i remembered where 'William' (yummy =9~) 1st appeared in my memory data bank!! of cuz... he was the heart pt in Grey's! heehe... he was my love for a short period of time! haha... =P
actually i think this is not the 1st time i am watching a movie with such a plot. the woman recieving letters from a died person. oh yah!!! another similar movie was the korean movie "Daddy Long Legs" although the plot is similiar it is not 100% identical.
how did u spend ur chinese new year? stay up late, eat, drink, smoke and gamble?
i did the usual, eat and be merry (which i had been doing everyday in fact!) and on top of it, i watched a movie! its my 1st time watching a movie on cny. the queue for the tickets were so long that... i didn't bother to queue but let my hubby buys it 2hours before the actual screening. =P for that, i agreed to watch the movie that he wanted to watch "ah long Pte Ltd". it was funny.
this time the dig was at the malaysia's political scene. but i was a little surprised to note those scenes used in the trailers not being in the movie. hubby said its the censorship, now... that makes sense. after all those 'complaints' and dicussion abt mr neo 'glorifying' the ah longs, those scenes in the trailers may be a little too politcally incorrect.
my take on the movie- watch it but if u can afford to wait, a DVD will be worth the keeping.
i am no movie freak or drama addict although i seems like it. i just like to see lives of others from another person's view and what better way than thru a movie/ drama. no matter how blown out the drama/ movie is, there is always some truth to it. afterall most stories are inspired by the happenings around the scirpt-writer. =)
yet the choice of my movies/ drama never depart far from the topic of 'humanity'. i prefer plots that explore human's feelings. =) "helen the baby fox" is just another of such movie.
apart from using children in the movie (which confirm can reach out to the adults, cuz kids have cute faces mah!) the producer uses a BABY FOX! note the 2 different words...BABY and FOX. sure win liao lor... heehe... but cute faces without a good plot hardly attracts me for very long. =P
yet this movie delivers all that i desire. the senerity of the rual japan, the pictures are so vivid that i thought i could feel the wind blowing thru my hair and i could almost smell the beautiful flowers! b'cuz of the longing that taichi had for his own mother, he could understand helen's need for its own mummy fox. but since mommy fox is gone, taichi doubled up as its mummy and care for it. i love the part when taichi said that it doesn't matter if helen get well or not, what matter is that i am with her. who can decide what is the best for helen? and then taichi in his very innocent way ran off to look for helen. what a touching moment! and alas!! helen actually cried out for the 1st time for its mummy (aka taichi)!. =`( *sob*
*ps- adjust ur vol if u r going to play this video! i think its a little to loud and sharp. =)
the movie ponder me to think... if human beings are allowed mercy death, will we as parent choose mercy death for our babies just because we think it will bring less suffering to them? or will we cherish every single hour that we have with our baby even if we know he/she will leave us eventually? its not just abt emotions but think abt the financial burden of treatment and other stuff.... *sigh* never a easy choice to make...
if u had not yet watch this OLD moive... GO WATCH IT! =)
Synopsis
An irreverent, heartbreaking story revolving around a modern American family. This film portrays an all-too-common dilemma: after drifting apart emotionally and geographically over the years, two single siblings Wendy (Laura Linney) and Jon (Philip Seymour Hoffman) must band together to care for an elderly parent (Philip Bosco). Visiting their father in his nursing home and their father's eventual death helps each sibling to better deal with their love relationships with others.
will post more after i had watch it. =)
i had wanted to watch this movie since the day it was on preview til it was pull off the sliver screen. WANTED was the word. i never get round to watch it cuz i was waiting for someone. *sigh* never mind about it since i managed to watch it on the plane back to singapore. haha... the only good thing of taking a plane is i get to watch movies! otherwise, i hate having to be rooted to the chair! =(
letters from iwo jima is a great movie! err... i weeped a little watching it. the helplessness of the army-soldiers and their longing for their love-ones, moved me so... too bad the novel in which the movie was based on is in japanese. a language i can't even understand. *sigh* if anyone had read the novel please kindly tell me the entire story ba...
meanwhile for those that had yet to watch the movie, go and rent it from the dvd/vcd shops! its worth the every cent. =)
the 1st time i heard of this movie was from a fellow vox.blogger "mui yee" she commented that the movie was really good and the story-touching. after watching the preview- i was totally blown away by the storyline and the beauty of movie.
i guess its the thing about unselfish love for mankind and the unfaithful wife that made me go all gaga over the Mr-Dr (edward norton). i watched it on the airplane to HK. thankfully i was on the window seat. cuz i was crying while watching the movie! so ugly right? but it was worthed every drop of my tears. =)
