movies.... movies.... movies....

i had fulfilled my desire to watch water horse. orwh... such a wonderful heart-warming movie! the creature with its innocent eyes and expressive moans. now i want to watch AUGUST RUSH! i wonder why isn't it release in august?! haha... ok lame joke.

i had always like Keri the lady in the movie, since her debute in 'felicity'. another heart-warming movie that will bring tears of angish and then tears of joy. i like such ironic stuff. any takers? hmm... maybe i will watch it this weekend, i hardly get weekends off anyway.

there are interesting movies i want to watch when they are finally here in singapore. hopefully in march when i am less busy but i bet that water horse will be in june when the kids are on holidays. either case i am fine. =P

louise is hansome and looks so much like andy lau. but i still find andy lau more charming. *bush* heeee... andy lau had aged so so gracefully! his younger days casted in those martial art dramas had him looking so boyish and cute. now that he is stepping into his late adulthood, he still look good! no longer boyish and cute, he had ador himself with a dash of class, charm and manly-ness. (although there are rumors saying he is gay... hmm... o_O?)

i had just finished watching renee liu and louise khoo's "happy birthday" its a sad love story. the shots of the film is very comfortable, heartwarming but slow. perphaps it was the way the director wanted us (viewers) to feel how xiao mi and xiao nam felt for each other. how they long for each other yet so unwittingly pushes each other away. complicated relationship!

but this movie had be thinking of andy lau and sammi cheung's "yesterday once more". some sort of plot. guy loves gal and vis versa but are apart due to certain personal issues. then eventually guy dies but only to ensure his love for her will never die. WOW!!! so romantic,right? i prefer "yesterday once more" its faster and more multi-dimensional. and of cuz andy lau and sammi cheung are my all time favourites! =)

although these movies are so romantic that it will touch everybody, i honestly feel these are all selfish love. =( i just felt that the idea of dying alone is so unbearable. for the person that is dying and for the person that is being lied to. this is what i call a LOSE-LOSE situation. false hope is no hope at all!! =( imagine when both the female leads eventually knows that the person that they love so had died without them knowing. they will surely sink into depression and blame themselve for the "i should had" stuff.

so accompanying someone along their path of dying, is not just theraptic to the person dying but for the living too. at least, you would know you had done what you could have. the dying will "move on" in comfort knowing he/she was so deeply cared for and loved. the living could eventually move on knowing he/she had done his/her part.

oh well... i suppose i will and can only know better when i face those situation ba.

A moment to remember

this movie, is highly recommend! =) if u love notebook, u will love this movie! its based on the same theme - progressive lost of memories cuz by alzheimer's disease.
